DISC DOGGING WHAT IS a Frisbee Dog?

Disc Dog is a canine sport, where the owners or handler throw to the air discs, with the intention of the dog to catch them. As longer you practice, the catches become jumps and bounces that elevate the game to a competitive level. This sport greatly improves the physical condition, the attention and the dog-owner relationship. The best thing about Disc Dog is that it is an easy sport to practice and accessible to everyone. All you need is a flat space, a disk and your dog. That is why, it is currently picking up  a lot of international boom.  It is known that only in the USA more than a million dogs are practicing the sport. An excellent activity to have fun with your best friend!

This is why the Disc Dog is considered a cheap sport compared to many others.

For anyone who is stressed or tired of their daily routine, it will always be rewarding to escape to a park and spend a pleasant time with your dog, without having any economic expenses

On the other hand, dogs of almost all breeds or mixed , can play the Disc Dog. Some world champions have been street dogs and even dogs adopted from shelters. IMPORTANT

Throwing a disc may seem simple, but when we have a disc in our hands and we make some pitches, we realize that details such as grip, finger position, hip rotation, pitch angle or timing of releasing are so important to make a correct launch. It is also important to know how to teach the dog to move on the field and to fall correctly after the jumps, to minimize the effects of the impacts of its legs against the ground.

➢ The most difficult thing for the person is to learn to throw the disc correctly and that is achieved with much practice; The most important thing is that for the dog it is always considered a game.

➢ That is why it is important to consult with professionals who can help you to learn this sport correctly and safely for both you and your dog. For that you can consult with professionals of Pets Paradise, where we will teach you to enjoy this sport with your dog in a fun and safe way.

I leave you with a phrase from Mr. Mark Muir, 4 times World Champion of Disc Dogging; Who was with us last January sharing a Disc Dogging Seminar: “Our life is short, our dogs life are even shorter , so we must take every moment to enjoy with them, because then we will only have the memories Of those good moments … “

Flyball

Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball. Flyball provides an entertaining and active way to interact with one’s dog and other dog lovers in an environment that is fun and allows the dogs exercise and enjoyment.
